I am a highly experienced construction professional, being a Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Construction Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, having spent my entire 45 + year career in commercial, operational and managerial capacities in the industry.

Commercially trained, I have worked for and received appointments to work for a select number of construction employers, leading national consultancy practices and both regional and national construction and developer businesses, including my own. I have extensive experience of working in a variety of roles across new-build, refurbishment, restoration, fit-out and engineering projects that encompass health, education, residential, office, retail, leisure and highway sectors including working as board director of both large corporate and medium sized construction and developer businesses. Value of project experience includes singular projects of up to £230m and programmes more than £400m. As a result, I have gained considerable knowledge and expertise in dealing with the many issues the industry raises.

I have always enjoyed what construction has to offer and I gain particular satisfaction when helping others achieve their just entitlement and overcome the uncertainties of disagreement and dispute, to free them to concentrate on their normal business. In advancement of this I am a RICS Conflict Avoidance Process (“CAP”) Ambassador, promoting good practice and the avoidance of formal disputes.
